St Julie Quebec

Hey everyone sorry this update took a while to get up. This past weekend we raced in St Julie Quebec. It was the first round of the Monster Energy Canadian Nationals. I was super pumped that the season was finally upon us and couldn't wait to show everyone the hard work I put in during the off months.

Things started off well. The bike was running perfect thanks to mike my mechanic. I had good lap times and felt comfortable on the bike. The St Julie track was a bit weird. There were deep ruts with some dusty and muddy sections. I felt that every time I came off a jump or a rise that the track would change direction slightly on the back side of the lip.You really had to remember the track so that it didn't catch you off guard. It seemed really one lined also. There were lots of ruts in the corners but it seemed liked there was only one good one where you could keep your speed up and be smooth.
I got off to a great start the first moto. A nice big hole shot, thanks to my Eleven Ten Mods motor. In the first 4 laps I had pulled a nice comfortable lead but stalled the bike. I guess I had a huge brain fart or something. After kicking it for a while I managed to get it started. I was way back in the pack by this time and had to come from almost last. I put my head down and by the end of the moto I managed to catch up to 8th. Not exactly the result I wanted but thought I rode extremely well.

The second moto did not go so well for me. I got a 2nd place start behind Nick Evenou. In the first turn he and I came together and his foot peg got caught in my front brake disc and bent it. So the whole moto my front brake was pulsating really bad when ever I would use it. So it wasn t grabbing or working properly. In the first 5 laps I tried way too hard to get past Nick. It was extremely hard to make a pass because once you got out of the main racing line you just went backwards. I ended up getting really frustrated and tightened up bad. I just started going backwards and crashed twice. I think I ended up finishing 13th that moto. I was not pumped on that ride what so ever. But I guess everyone has a bad weekend and this passed weekend was mine.

I have worked extremely hard this week to change it around for this coming weekend in Gopher Dunes. I love the sand and I know my fitness is good. All I have to do is calm down a bit and relax on the first couple of laps and just ride my own race. I would just like to thank everyone who is supporting me this year and all of you who believe in me.See ya at the races!!!!!!!
