Washougal Race Report

Hey all well as many as you probably know I was down in Washougal racing this past weekend. It started off really well. I felt good on the track. It was prepped so well, I could definitely get used to riding a perfectly watered track that’s for sure. I qualified 25 for the mains. I was pumped on that. In the mains I got off to horrible starts. Sure wish I had my race bike, would have definitely helped out tons. I managed to work my way up into 16 in motto one but made some mistakes and a few guys got by me. Down there if you make one little bobble there is an always a few guys right there to capitalize on it. So I finished off in 21st. I was happy with my ride. My fitness was good and I felt strong the whole motto. Moto two did not go so well. I managed to make it around the hot lap and then my bike broke on the first lap of the race. I was bummed out but all in all it was a good learning experience and I know I can run higher that what I finished and can't wait to do some more. I got to meet DJ (mxforum member), he gave me some money to help pay for sign up so I’d like to thank him very much for that. I gained some confidence and hopefully I can carry that over into the final three rounds of the Canadian nationals. Thanks to everybody who’s helped me out this year. See ya at the races!!!
